New Cases and Submissions

Parties and/or their counsel who are external to the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ network are requested to file submissions directly to the relevant Registries via e-mail. For the filing of new Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDT or Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT cases, you are requested to submit all pleadings and supporting documents to the generic e-mail inbox of the relevant Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDT Registry or Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT Registry. For new Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDT or Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT cases, please highlight this in the subject line of the e-mail, e.g.:

  • New Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDT case request: NEW APPLICATION/MOTION¨C APPLICANT¡¯S SURNAME
  • New Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT case request: NEW APPEAL/APPLICATION/MOTION ¨C PARTY NAME. For filings on behalf of an Organization or Entity, please use the format: NEW APPEAL/APPLICTION/MOTION ¨C Secretary-General vs. Staff Member Name.

Please prepare your submission in accordance with the relevant forms and Practice Directions of the concerned Tribunal. Consult the relevant Registry with any questions.

For ease of transmission by e-mail, please combine all supporting documents (annexes) to an application or appeal in one master PDF, and/or submit in one compressed ZIP file.

 

Existing Cases

For filings into existing Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµDT or Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT cases, please file your submissions to the e-mail inbox of the corresponding Registry including Case No. and title in the e-mail subject line.

WHAT IS THE Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµITED NATIONS APPEALS TRIBÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµAL?

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Appeals Tribunal (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT) was established by the General Assembly in 2009, as part of the new Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ internal justice system. As the second level appellate review tribunal within the internal justice system, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT reviews, within its specific jurisdiction, appeals against judgments rendered by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Dispute Tribunal, the Dispute Tribunal of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµRWA), as well as appeals of decisions taken by the Standing Committee acting on behalf of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµJSPB), and by those organizations, agencies and entities that accepted Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµAT¡¯s jurisdiction.
